Disney X FLüD
We worked with Disney to create a number of watches inspired by popular Disney titles such as "A Nightmare Before Christmas", "Mickey Mouse", and "The Muppets". These pieces were designed along with our popular FLüD watch models. See Disney reinvented the FLüD way.
Created in 1928, Mickey Mouse has become the iconic character that has branded the Walt Disney Company. His presence remains strong throughout the world as the leader of the Disney Character lineup. Mickey's unmistakeable silhouette, white gloves, and spotted shorts, keep Mickey's ranking at the top amongst a large market of character brands.
“This challenge is definitely the dearest to our hearts: Classic Mickey Mouse. Working with MM allowed us to revisit our childhoods and also give Mickey's look a bit of a 2011 twist. The Mickey Hands-as-Watch-Hands style is evident on the Exchange and Re-Exchange models. While old and new Mickey Comic Strip models are seen on the dials of the Big Ben and Prologue. We also introduce Jewelry into the Classic Mickey Collection with a set of Mickey vs. Donald Duck Tags, an Action Mickey pendant + chain and a Mickey bracelet featuring one of the most iconic Mickey Characteristics: his head and ears shadow.”
Halloween Town will never be the same once Jack Skellington adds a tad of eerie excitement to his annual fright-fest. When the Pumpkin King finds himself in Christmas Town, surrounded by yuletide joy beyond his wildest nightmares, he becomes obsessed with Christmas. However, it is not until he must rescue "Sandy Claws" from the clutches of the evil Oogie Boogie that he truly understands the spirit of Christmas.
“We had to take a stab at Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas. Jack and Sally and the rest of the Nightmare Before Christmas crew get the FLüD treatment on various popular FLuD models. You get to see Mr. Burton's amazing artwork on FLüD the Alchemist, Big Ben, Moment, Exchange and Re-Exchange. All with various interchangeable straps. The single strapped Prologue watch is also given a be-headed Sally on the dial with the rest of her body portrayed on the strap and Jack in some of his most sinister poses. All of the NBC watches come with custom laser-etched casebacks as well as custom packaging with NBC wrapping.”
The Muppets were created in 1954 by the legendary, Jim Henson. It is rumored that the name "Muppet" came from combining the words, "marionette" and "puppet." Well known characters include, Kermit the Frog, Fozzie, Animal, Gonzo, and Miss Piggy.
“We knew instantly that we wanted to work with the Muppets for their Holiday movie and for the chance to work with the great, late Jim Henson's characters. The Exchange and Re-exchange models stay true to the FLüD aesthetics of "simply more" by having a Warhol-esque take on Animal, Ms. Piggy and Kermit share face time on the dials and with complementary straps. We took our new Holiday watch, the Pantone, and gave Kermit a similar treatment with his own piece, there. Each of the Muppets watches comes with limited edition Muppets branded packaging and laser-engraved casebacks.”
